The next in the series of hands-on training workshops, as part of the AHRC Curiosity Award project Computational Literary Studies UK led by Professor Bas Groes, with participation from the Universities of Edinburgh, Oxford and Sheffield and international partners from Belgium, Germany, the Netherlands, Poland and Estonia.
The event will take place in the Schwarzman Centre for the Humanities at the University of Oxford, over two full days, on Thursday 10th and Friday 11th December 2026. Applications to register as a participant will open in October 2026.
Participants will be responsible for their own travel and accomodation arrangements, but registration will be free and we hope to offer a dinner for participants on the Thursday evening. For accommodation, as well as the usual ways to find a hotel or apartment, participants can enquire at universityrooms.com for a room in an Oxford college.
The programme will follow a similar pattern to previous workshops in the series including: https://www.wlv.ac.uk/current-students/news/december-2025/training-event-computational-literary-studies-school-.php
The project Computational Literary Studies UK (CLSUK) is establishing a community of researchers working at the forefront of Computational Literary Studies (CLS), placing the UK at the heart of an expanding discipline and ensuring the next generation of scholars and students are equipped to take advantage of emerging technologies.
