Supporting the development of infrastructure for AI workflows in the Arts and Humanities.
12 November 2026, University of Oxford, 56 Banbury Road, Oxford OX2 6PA
The Connecting Arts and Humanities Infrastructures for AI Capability project is running this workshop to co-design and validate requirements for the development of Artificial Intelligence infrastructures within the Arts and Humanities domain.
The workshop is motivated by the increased interest in the infrastructure required for AI workflows on large-scale data. The participants of the workshop will have access to, and be able to input into, the development of new research, tools and platforms which connect a large body of data within the Arts and Humanities domain to AI inference, including Large Language Models and Vision Language Models. The workshop will involve learning more about the data services, exploring ways researchers will use data and AI tools, as well as inputting into a set of requirements based on an existing prototype.
There are a limited number of places available for the workshop, and we are actively looking for breadth across UK institutions and the disciplines represented in the broad Arts and Humanities domain. If you consider making use of AI for your research and practice, please consider joining the workshop and help to shape the future of AI research in the Arts and Humanities.
